Description
This Solderless kit uses a rain detector circuit which works by “Sensing” water falling onto the conductive strips of the PCB. When the Electrical Conductivity across the PCB “Sensor” reaches a threshold, it will trigger an oscillator which uses two transistors to drive the Load Speaker and LED.
Once water is removed from the sensor the Speaker and LED will both turn OFF.
No Soldering is required as the kit comes with sockets already installed and just needs the correct components to be inserted.
The kit lends itself to simple experimentation.
Construction Notes come with each kit. The Notes include step-by-step graphics of the assembly process.
The student notes are aimed at allowing students to work at their own pace, and achieve a high probability of success.
